Great Start

Horticulture has got off to a great start. I have now begun gardening with groups of pupils on Thursdays. We have been clearing an allotment and have sown broad beans, peas, cabbages and potatoes. We are producing a wild flower bed for a local community group and also building a path to the new sports pitch for wheelchair users. In the future we hope to work with a retirement home clearing their gardens and to develop an allotment area on site. I have a small group of pupils working with me but expect numbers to increase once we start work. Any other interested pupils can talk to me when I am in school on a Wednesday or Thursday.

Thank you Mr John Pearce
