Dear Parents / Carers,
This letter replaces our usual newsletter for the half term.
It has been a quite different start to the academic year for us all. The impact of Covid 19 has been felt across our school community and it has been a challenging time for us all. However, everyone involved with school has worked together to make sure that pupils continue to attend and learn.
If your child or a member of your family tests positive for the virus or if you are contacted by track and trace over the holidays, can you please let us know so we can assess what impact this may have on school. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org .
We are grateful for your continued support.
We would like to wish all of those who are unwell a speedy recovery.
All schools will need to have an online offer for students in case they have to self-isolate, as an individual or if the bubble in school is asked to self-isolate.
We have introduced google classrooms for the secondary students and will be using Seesaw with the primary and base students.
Letter have been sent today to everyone with help sheets and the account log ins.
We have worked in school to support the students, so they know how to access and use these systems.
We are starting the annual review process after half term. The first meetings will be for years 6, 11 and 6th form. This year reviews will take place via telephone or zoom. If for any particular you reason you feel you need a ‘face to face’ meeting with staff in school, as and when you are made aware of the date and time of your annual review, can you please contact the head of your child’s key stage.
Head of Primary – Julia Spofforth
Head of Year 7 and 8/ Base 1 and 2 – Marie Armstrong
Head of Year 9, 10 and 11 – Andy Wrigg
Head of 6th form /Base 3 – Gareth Davey
Finally, I would like to wish you a restful half term and look forward to seeing you all again on November 2nd.
